Template, not legal advice. This privacy policy is a draft template written for a simple static website that sells PDFs through Creem. Please have it checked (for example with a generator such as eRecht24 or by a lawyer) before publication. The German summary below is for convenience only; if the versions differ, the English version prevails.

2. Overview / Überblick
This website is a static page without user accounts, a newsletter, comment forms, advertising, tracking or analytics tools. We don't set cookies. We use your device's system fonts and serve all images from this site, so loading a page makes no requests to third-party servers. Personal data is processed only as described below.
3. Hosting and server log files / Hosting und Server-Logfiles
This website is hosted by GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (“GitHub”). When you visit the site, the hosting provider automatically processes technical data your browser sends: IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, referrer URL, browser type and operating system. This is needed to deliver the website securely and to detect abuse.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in a secure, working website). GitHub logs the IP addresses of visitors to GitHub Pages sites for security purposes. GitHub processes this data in the USA. GitHub, Inc. is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision of the European Commission, Art. 45 GDPR); in addition, GitHub relies on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR). How long GitHub keeps log data is set out in the GitHub General Privacy Statement: docs.github.com/…/github-general-privacy-statement. We have no access to these logs and do not use them to identify visitors.
4. Purchases via Creem (merchant of record) / Käufe über Creem
When you click "Buy PDF", you leave this website and go to a checkout page run by Creem, operated by Armitage Labs OÜ, Rotermanni 14, 10111 Tallinn, Estonia. Creem acts as merchant of record (reseller): it sells the product to you, processes the payment, calculates and collects VAT, issues the invoice and delivers the download. For this checkout Creem processes your data (for example name, email address, billing country and address, payment details, IP address) as its own controller. Creem shares order details with us (typically your name, email address, country, the product bought, the price and the order ID). We never receive your full card details. We use this data to deliver the product, answer support requests, handle refund and withdrawal requests, and keep our business records.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performing the contract and pre-contractual steps) and Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR (statutory retention duties under German commercial and tax law, e.g. § 147 AO, § 257 HGB, generally 6 to 10 years for business records).
5. Contact by email / Kontakt per E-Mail
If you email support@semprog.de, we process your email address, name (if given) and the content of your message to answer you. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request relates to a purchase, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in answering enquiries). We delete these emails when they're no longer needed, unless statutory retention periods apply. Our email is hosted by Strato AG, Berlin, Germany, which processes emails on our behalf as a processor (Art. 28 GDPR).
6. External links / Externe Links
This website links to Creem's checkout and may link to our Instagram accounts. When you follow such a link, the other provider's privacy policy applies. No data is sent to these providers just by loading our pages.
7. Your rights / Ihre Rechte
You have the right to:
- access your personal data (Art. 15 GDPR),
- rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17) and restriction of processing (Art. 18),
- data portability (Art. 20),
- object at any time to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21),
